“Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop away from you like the leaves of Autumn.” - John Muir
Himlung Himal is located in the Peri Himal range of Manang district in the Gandaki zone of Nepal. It is quiet in the remote region. So, quality teahouses and lodges are not much available here. We will have to start camping from “Meta”. This mountain region lies just 1.5 kilometers from the Tibetan border. From Himlung Himal, Manaslu is 28 kilometers toward the southeast. We can see Phu Khola on the north and west sides of Himlung Himal, a tributary of the Marsyangdi, drained. The routes are combined with high peaks and passes, glaciers, remote villages, narrow gullies, lovely forests, amazing rock and spring formations, Gompas(Monastery), and unique varied cultures
The route for Himlung Himal route passes through high peaks and passes, glaciers, remote villages, narrow gullies, forests, rocks, springs, Gompas(Monastery), and unique cultural settlements. We can see these smiley locals till Phu Gaun. After "Phu", we are on our own.
