Trip Introduction: -
Morimoto Peak lies in the Langtang Valley near south of the Tibetan border and north from Kathmandu. The Langtang valley lies between the main Himalayan range to the north and a slightly lower range of snowy peaks to the south, an important region for trade and a focal point for cultural exchange. Following the route through the impressive rhododendron forests, almost tropical climate to the harsher environment at higher altitude offering a wide range of landscapes and sceneries. We will also get the chance to observe wild boar, deer, several types of monkeys and even some of the larger predators as bears and leopards. As soon as we cross the forest, we will have an impressive view of Langtang Lirung Mountain (7246m). The route then continues along with the Langtang mountain range with all the famous glaciers and beautiful snow-covered peaks.
Morimoto Peak Climbing is a newly built climbing destination. Spring and autumn are the best seasons for this climb. We will observe the distinct lifestyle of the original inhabitants in Langtang village. Continuing our trek to Langshisa Kharka to Morimoto high Camp, the Upper Langtang valley offers us wonderful views of the moraine of Langtang Ri, Tilman Col, Langshisa Ri. Hike in the Langtang Valley and climbing to the Morimoto Peak provides an unforgettable moment. During the trek, we will explore the culture and tradition of Tibetan communities living in the Langtang Valley. The landscapes are extremely varied. We will pass through rice- terraces, massive rhododendron, pine forest and in the highest parts, a rock and shrub wilderness with the charming backdrop of snow-capped peaks.
From there, you can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding peaks and glaciers. Exploring this climb, experiencing the thrill of conquering high-altitude challenges in Nepal’s Himalayas. Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,350m/4,428ft)
Upon our arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu, we will be greeted by a representative from Himalayan Traverse who will take us to star level hotel. After checking in, we may take a rest.

Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu and Brief discussion upon the trip
After breakfast in the morning we start a small sightseeing in Kathmandu in the three famous UNESCO World heritage enlisted sites: “Pashupatinath Temple” the biggest temple for Hindus, “Swayambhunath Stupa” also known as the monkey temple which is one of the famous religious stupas for Buddhists and “Boudhanath Stupa” the biggest Stupa in Nepal located in Kathmandu. After this short visit to religious sites we make early preparations for our trip and make sure everything is okay. In the evening there will be a welcome dinner in a traditional Nepali Restaurant where we will be able to enjoy authentic Nepali cuisine with a brief cultural program.

Day 03: Drive to Syabrubesi (1503 m)
We hit the road today with a lengthy but scenic drive from Kathmandu to Syabru Bensi, where our trek originates. Our road follows the Trishuli River Valley through pretty Dhunche Village, Trishuli Bazaar, and Betrawati. White and green are the predominate colors of this trip: distant snow-capped mountains in the background, and verdant hillocks and valleys up close! Upon arrival at Syabru Bensi, we'll check into our teahouse lodging. Trekking begins bright and early tomorrow, so rest is essential! Overnight in Syabrubesi.

Day 04: Trek to Lama Hotel (2470 m)
This is our first day of trekking today. Follow the Langtang Khola River. Pass through the dense forests. Cross several suspension bridges. We also pass by a tea houses. The trail goes up and down but it's not that challenging.

Day 05: Trek to Langtang Village (3430 m)
After breakfast, we depart from Sybru Bensi, following the Bhote Koshi River, which originates in Tibet, and the Langtang Khola. The trail wends its way up past Bamboo Village, which is famous for its resident red pandas. Keep your eyes peeled! Day of vigorous walking is ahead of us as we start seriously ascending up the mountain. The hearty exercise comes with the attendant reward of fantastic scenery as we wend our way through forests of pink and white rhododendron, hemlock, and oak high above the Langtang Khola. We'll pass Ghodatabela as our halfway point, and end up in Langtang Village, the heart of Langtang National Park. The village is rife with flat-topped Tibetan-style lodgings, crop fields, and yak grazing grounds. Overnight in Langtang Village.

Day 06: Trek to Kyanjin Gompa (3865 m)
A large Mani wall greets us on the initial leg of our trek today, with the small village of Mundu as our first significant landmark. We'll be treated to the sight of ice flow trickling down multiple mountain peaks as we encounter panoramic Himalayan views. The air is definitely thinner at this altitude, and we'll be sure to arrive at Kyanjin Gompa nice and early to begin our acclimatization process.

Day 07: Trek to Tsergo Ri (5033 m)
After taking morning tea and breakfast,we get out of the village and pass on through yak pastures and start for visiting to Tserko Ri (5000m/16,404ft) for mountain sunrise views. Since, we are really getting into the high altitudes, we might start feeling the thin air. In the afternoon return to Kanjin Gompa- surrounded by the Himalayas all around. We can take a walk around Kanjin Gompa enjoying the views, glaciers, icefalls, birds and yaks.

Day 08: Trek to Langshisha Kharka (4110 m)
Adoring the stunning views of Gangchenpo, and Langshisha continue to trek to Langshisha Kharka.

Day 09: Trek to Morimoto Base Camp (4600 m)
Walk across moraines and mountain passes covered with ice towards the Morimoto Peak Base Camp.

Day 10: Trek to High Camp (5200 m)
Walk towards High Camp which is demanding but get rewarded by amazing views of Langtang Ranges.

Day 11: Acclimatization Day
Spend the day participating in pre-climbing training and get knowledge on using gears and equipment properly.
Day 12: Morimoto Peak Summit (6150 m), and return to High Camp (5200 m)
Adventurous Morimoto Peak summit, adore the Langtang ranges from the top, and return to High Camp.

Descend to Langshisha Kharka from High Camp cherishing the surrounding vistas.

We cross small forest with the view of beautiful village of Helembu region. The trail makes a sweep around the wide valley end between Parachin and the pretty Sharpa village of Gangyul. The people of this village practice Drukpa Kagyu Buddhism, the same as the national religion of Bhutan.

Day 20: Trek to Malemchi Puul Bazaar: Drive to Kathmandu: 3/4 hrs trek/ 2 hr drive
On our final day of the trek, we walk down to Malemchi Pul Bazaar with many Sherpa village. From the Bazaar, catch a bus to Katmandu. To celebrate the successful completion of our journey, we will have a farewell dinner in the evening. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 21-Final Departure
Your adventure in Nepal comes to an end today! There is nothing to do but trade emails with your travel companions and organize your photos. A representative will take you to the airport, approximately 3 hours before your scheduled flight. On your way home you'll have plenty of time to plan your next adventure in the wonderful country of Nepal.

The festival was incredible and the mountains are magnificent. Dorjee is a great guide and we really enjoyed staying at his Buddha lodge and meeting his wonderful family.
