Furwa Jangbu Sherpa

Furwa Jangbu Sherpa was born in a remote village in the Mount Everest region of Nepal, surrounded by the world’s highest peaks. Growing up in the Himalayas inspired his lifelong passion for the mountains and led him to become a professional trekking and high-altitude mountain guide. With over 20 years of guiding experience in the Nepal Himalayas, Furwa has led numerous trekking and climbing expeditions for clients from around the world. His mountaineering record includes successful ascents of Mt. Everest twice, Mt. Lhotse twice, Mt. Manaslu twice, and Cho Oyu once, in addition to many other Himalayan mountains. These achievements reflect his extensive high-altitude expertise, careful planning, and commitment to client safety. Furwa is a marketing manager of Himalayan Traverse Adventure (P) Ltd., a company dedicated to providing authentic and responsible adventure experiences. Currently based in Helsinki, Finland, he organizes and leads trekking and expedition groups from Europe to Nepal and Tibet, building a bridge between international adventurers and the Himalayas. He is known for his calm leadership, deep cultural roots, and dedication to making every journey both safe and unforgettable.
